Delivering state-of-the-art surgical precision to the Southwest

Robotic SIMPLE prostatectomy is for select patients with massive prostate enlargement (BPH) that is too large for transurethral resection (TURP). Many of these patients will require multiple surgeries if they are treated with transurethral surgery alone.

In this procedure, the robot is used to enucleate the prostate such that the capsule (or "shell") is left in place. The magnified visualization allows us to carefully perform this procedure and to ensure improved hemostasis compared to open simple prostatectomy.
