Robotic partial nephrectomy (removal of only the cancerous part of the kidney) offers some patients with kidney tumors the opportunity to undergo a minimally invasive treatment that preserves the normal part of the kidney. Dr. Shah has experience in both pure laparoscopic  and robotic partial nephrectomy. Dr. Shah performed the first robotic partial nephrectomy in the state of New Mexico.
